A CHILD-CENTERED APPROACH TO TEAM SPORTS DEVELOPMENT
Why Go T.E.A.M. works?
Go T.E.A.M. offers a comprehensive team building experience where group members take part in a customized event focused on teamwork through sports. Group skills, such as leadership, trust, and unity are emphasized. Our experienced staff will
enhance your childʼs understanding of how Together – Everyone – Achieves – More.
Go T.E.A.M. field trips are effective because we place a heavy emphasis not only on fun and sportsmanship but each activity is also based on a thorough understanding of child development.
Child-centered coaches understand where children are developmentally, which means they have realistic expectations of what children can do physically and what they can handle cognitively and emotionally. They put instruction into a context children understand through the use of highly creative games, a non-competitive environment, and a learning process which is safe and fun. Coaches also focus on the childʼs effort and channel positive behavior.
This combination creates an environment where children stay more engaged, feel safe to try new things, and have a blast doing it.
By developing the whole child we can increase self-esteem, build sportsmanship, and help them develop a better understanding of team work. We are not just helping create great team players; we are helping develop great people who choose healthy, active lifestyles.

Benefits of Go T.E.A.M. Exercise
Go T.E.A.M. field trips have numerous benefits: physical fitness, confidence and stronger self-esteem, more energy, better memory, and simply a good feeling about themselves. Our goal is to provide a group setting in which kids learn the importance of team work, and how by working together they accomplish more.
Team work in sports can help give children stronger communication skills and teach them to work better with others not just on the sports field, but also in their families and classroom interactions. The team work involved in sports allows kids to become part of something of value, teaching them to help others on their team when they are struggling, and offer words of encouragement. Team work also helps children learn to deal with conflict and provides exposure to a variety of ideas within the team.
Our “Go T.E.A.M.” coaches also want to work with parents and educators, and focus on creative ways to incorporate exercise into the everyday routines of our children. Indoor and outdoor games, and playful workout routines, can be the tools that instill the lasting joy of exercise.
Active children enjoy additional health benefits, because:
• Exercise increases the blood flow to all body tissues, including the brain. Greater blood flow transports more oxygen and nutrients to the body’s cells.
• Active children improve their body’s ability to absorb oxygen
• Exercise enhances the brain’s metabolism. Studies show that active children have improved memory as a result of better brain function.
• Active children have the ability to concentrate better, even at the end of a long school day.
• Studies report exercise decreases anxiety, reduces depression, improves mood and outlook in children, and improves quality of sleep.
